Our History
Pat Croce & Company’s journey began in 2005-2006 when Pirate Soul, the original pirate museum, and the Rum Barrel Bar & Grill launched its hospitality operations in Key West, FL. As they expanded throughout the island with different concepts, they built a strong team and a great local following. In 2010, the pirate museum was rebranded and moved north to the oldest city in Florida, St. Augustine. The town, with its rich history, was the perfect home for the museum.
It also offered an opportunity for PC&Co to further grow the team and develop fresh concepts in another popular tourist destination. Ten years later, Jeff and Michael (both Penn State alums) expanded into State College, PA with the purchase of some of the oldest and most iconic businesses in town; adding more seasoned industry people to their hospitality family and an opportunity to carry on the tradition of these beloved brands.
Long-term Initiatives
Sustainability
In 2023, we embarked on a journey inspired by our core values Impact and Selflessness. Our partnership with GreenPlaces allowed us to gain full visibility into our climate impact. Using this information, we formulated our Sustainability strategy; a long-term strategic plan to minimize the impact our family of businesses has on the planet. Our progress and initiatives are outlined below, but the work is ongoing.
